About Usvegetarian cooking

The Vegetarian Center has been developed for those who are either wanting to become vegetarian or who already are vegetarian or vegan.

For me, it was a case of not being able to afford to buy meat.  That's what started the ball rolling.  I was fortunate that one of my children was a vegan another a vegetarian and both were able to teach me how to have a balanced diet through cooking the meals when they were home and sending me recipes through email - bless them!

In 1997 I began to make the transition starting with reducing the meat intake to only a couple of days a week and by 1999 I was fully vegetarian.  Over the next couple of years my knowledge of the factory farming, the animal abuse and the sheer exploitation of animals helped me to easily make the vegan commitment - now I wouldn't want it any other way. 

Vegetarian and vegan cooking is so easy and, I believe, a lot more tasty than traditional meat and vege meals.
